Rosanne Higgins presents the Erie County Poorhouse Cemetery Project. She was born in Enfield, Connecticut, however, she spent much of her youth in Buffalo, New York. She studied the asylum Movement in the nineteenth century and its impact on disease specific mortality. This research focused on the Erie, Niagara, and Monroe County Poorhouses in Western New York.

Prior to the April 2018 monthly meeting, the PGSNYS Board performed its annual review of the society By-laws . The result of this review resulted in no recommendations for changes to by-laws.
