Adam Mickiewicz Library Tour

Location: 612 Fillmore Ave, Buffalo, New York 14212

The President of the Adam Mickiewicz Library and Dramatic Circle has cordially invited the members of the PGSNYS to the Reopening of their Library on September 17, 2011 at 7PM in their upstairs hall. A tour of the library and refreshments will be served following the ceremony. There is no need to RSVP, just attend.

The Adam Mickiewicz Library and Dramatic Circle is a non-profit private club founded in 1895. It is the oldest Polish American organization in Western New York and is the oldest surviving Polish library in Buffalo. The library holds approximately 12,000 volumes with 400 hand copied plays. The bar serves over 50 different imported beers with a large Polish selection. The “Circle” is home to most of Torn Space’s Theater productions and a large annual Dyngus Day party, as well as other cultural events.

I recommend this tour to all members. This is a worthwhile tour for a Polish Genealogist.

Website issue – update!

The glitch with the surname database has been fixed and the complete list is now able to be viewed. Thank you again for your patience!

[If the glitch still appears when you access the website, please empty your browser cache, quit your browser, then re-open your browser and visit the site again. The affected page will then work properly.]

As a reminder, if you would like your names included on the list you must be a member of the society and be current with your dues. If that applies to you and you would like your names added, please send an email to susanm@bandmonster.com which states which Polish surnames you would like listed, which non-Polish surnames you would like listed (if applicable), and your contact information for people to get in touch with you (email, telephone and/or mailing address).
