Very little information about this missionary priest is available. What is known is that he was a member of the Dominican Order of priests and served in the Diocese of Buffalo from 1879 to 1880 (at St. Stanislaus B.M. Parish in Buffalo and St. Hyacinth Parish in Dunkirk, NY). Before coming to Buffalo, Bratkiewicz ministered in the Midwest as assistant at St. Wenceslas Parish in Pine Creek, WI and Immaculate Conception Parish in Manitowoc, WI; he was also responsible for organizing St. Hyacinth Parish in La Salle, IL in 1874.

There is no indication of Bratkiewicz's whereabouts after he left the Buffalo, NY area.
